Lei Chen was born in 1969 in Hunan Province, China. Lei began his dream to become an artist and an early age and pursued what he loved to do most, paint. He was accepted into Hun Nan Teacher's University with a degree in art and mastered the technique he would use today. In that same year, his paintings were exhibited at "the Paintings by Six Chinese Artists" in Manchester, England. Then in 1998 his painting "One Moment" was displayed at the exhibition of "Modern Chinese Artists."
